Channa masala - "Fast food" Style

Channa Masala - "Fast Food" Style

Everytime, Channa masala tastes little different where ever we eat. doesn't it? But, i always enjoy eating it.

This is the second recipe for channa masala in my blog. This is a "fast food" style channa masala. this recipe is slightly different from the other Channa masala recipe. I use the tea bag along with chick peas while boiling it. this gives a unique flavour and colour.
let me give you the recipe.

procedure:

  • soak the chickpeas over night and pressure cook it along with the tea bags and some salt. once cooked, drain the water and keep ready.

  • open the pressure cooker after the pressure is gone. add the chat masala and dry fenugreek leaves powder (crush the dry leaves in your palm to get the powder).
  • keep it on stove for 5 mins. add the coriander leaves and give a final stir.

hot and spicy "fastfood" style channa masala is ready to be served with your favourite main dish. it goes very well with poori, chapathi, dosai, idiyappam, pulav, white rice etc. or even with plain bread!

Happy cooking !!
